The world of traffic control systems
In a joint project with our partner Teerag Asdag we faced a new and very interesting challenge: the project of the Streckenbeeinflussungsanlage (route control system) SBA Graz. DÜRR Austria was responsible for the range of services of the system engineering facilities, whereas services in the field of civil engineering and the constructional steelwork were entirely covered by Teerag Asdag. The project was finally realised in May 2012.
In addition to the existing traffic control systems, sign gantries and foundation blocks with variable message signs in LED technology, trivision displays, traffic detectors for traffic counting, CCTV cameras, brightness sensors and 2 KRI-2B communication processors were further implemented. The overall control of the system is taken on by ASFINAG
Verkehrssteuerung (traffic management center) in Wien-Inzersdorf and ÜZ (monitoring center) Plabutsch.
