North-South transit axis across the Alps
As E55, the A10 is part of a north-south transit axis between the cities of Salzburg and Villach. It is thus an important north-south transversal across the Alps, not only in Austria but also in the European transport network. The Kroislerwand Tunnel, with its approximately 680 m, is situated between Feistritz / Paternion and the junction Villach West. DÜRR Austria was awarded with the contract in November 2015 and the traffic release of the A10 took place in June 2016 after a nearly sixmonth project period.
As a general contractor our main task is the realisation of essential core areas of a project. This includes, inter alia, the entire project planning and a professional project and site management. A high quality solution can only be ensured through the knowledge of the processes, a targeted coordination of all subsystems, partners and suppliers and through open and regular communication with the client that is based on partnership.
