Donzdorf celebrates: politicians and local residents party in the tunnel

On 10 July 2010 high-ranking politicians joined local residents and representatives of the companies involved in the construction to celebrate the official opening of the Donzdorf bypass.

After the obligatory speeches on the development of the project, a blessing, a gun salute and a procession through the tunnel to mark its opening, the tunnel came alive with festivities including live music, fireworks and a laser show in excited anticipation of the long-awaited reopening for traffic on 11 July.
